Missing the Princess'
What a long week! Nana took Princess V and C to her house Sunday night, and is bringing them back tomorrow. The house has been eerily quiet. Princess R and I have gotten to know each other real well though. The down time has also enabled me to get better prepared to restart our academy. So I am thrilled to share with you two sites I found that we will be using. One for our spiritual lessons and one for story time.

~Welcome Princess R~
Princess V and Princess C would like to welcome Princess R
She was born April 23rd at 8:16 pm
Weighing 8lbs 7oz; Measuring 20inches long
Brown hair and Blue eyes
When the little Princess' met for the first time today it was beautiful. They immediately went to her and were "soft" as they stroked her hair. Princess V is already excited to teach Princess R everything she knows. She is especially excited to teach her to walk; "I will teach her to walk. Like big girls." Princess C thoroughly enjoyed finding all the body parts - ears, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, feet, toes.
She is a great eater, and sleeps beautifully. Thank you all our friends and family for your prayers, and well wishes this week. We love visitors, just please call first.

Flowers
Friday was a beautiful day. Daddy started his spring break and has off until Wednesday, HOORAY! So friday morning we went to a yard sale. They had a lot of cool things, but all we left with was a little red wagon. Princess V just loved it. As we left the thought struck me, that it would make a perfect little garden for the Princess' to take care of. Before we headed home we stopped at Lowes. We let the Princess' each pick a flower. Princess V loved the yellow mini snapdragons, and Princess C loved the pink ones (can't remember what they're called - oops). We also picked up some more potting soil. When we got home we had a picnic lunch, and then started work in our mini garden. We've talked about plants before, but friday we got to really look at the roots and see how they get water to the plants. We then pulled out their little watering can and let them give their flowers a drink. Here's some pics of Princess V being silly.

two beautiful days
wow! After some crazy weather, we had two very nice and sunny days in a row!! Wednesday we decided to go for a walk. We headed over to the playground where I let the girls run a muck for a bit, and then we took the long way home. We weren't ready to go inside so we hung out on the grass and ate some push ups- yummy! Later in the day we decided we wanted more sun, so we headed out to play some tag. Princess C had a blast running away from me, it was so cute.
Yesterday we spent our morning getting chores done. We were then able to spend the afternoon outside again. We went to another local park and got together with some other friends. Once again the girls had so much fun running around and just playing with other kids their age. I wish I'd had the camera, the girls looked so cute. One mom commented to me that Princess V looked right out of vogue. She was wearing a sweater dress from grandma, and cute yellow shoes. I'll have to recreate the outfit one of these days.

Chore Charts
A friend of mine put together a chore chart where her kids earn mom and dad money to spend on certain items. I loved the idea!! I wasn't sure if it would work with our Princess', but thought I'd give it a try anyways. WOW!! With a little tweeking, it is working GREAT!! For us, instead of using money, we use stickers. I'm still making up the reward process, but for now Princess V is getting a chocolate because she got every sticker yesterday. Princess V gets up in the morning and immediately wants to get all her chores done. Princess C is still working on the concept, but she loves getting the stickers.

Last week
I decided I'd lump all of last week into one blog. I still haven't got a good schedule down with April, but I'm working on it. Last monday, Nana and Aunt A came to visit. The plan was to help us get ready for Princess R. Although we did some, mostly they just helped me relax :)
Tuesday they watched the Princess' so Daddy and I could go on a date night. Something we haven't been able to do in quite some time. We went to The Lightning Thief, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Wednesday Nana watched the Princess' and Aunt A and I went antique shop browsing. We love antique stores and there's a new one in town that I hadn't been to yet (really not the place for little Princess'). They had so much fun stuff, but it was on the pricier end of antique stores.
Thursday was all around our favorite day! Nana took us to Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center. It's one of their big events of the year. They let everyone in to pet and hold the newest arrivals. We spent a good portion of the time in the pig pen, chasing the pigs. The big attraction though were the baby bear cubs they brought down from Yellowstone. They had four of them and they were so adorable! Of course, these were not open for petting, but we still got to watch them play around. And of course there was the train ride we had to go on! Princess R decided she'd had enough though, so the other 2 Princess' and I headed back to the car while Nana and Aunt A went to get a frog to take home.
Now of course before I let Nana and Aunt A head for home, I had to make a pretty dessert - and boy did it taste good too!!!

Easter Weekend
I really need to keep up with this better. Unfortunately I wasn't doing much with the Princess' last week - just a lack of energy and planning on my part. But Saturday and Sunday I tried to make real special. Easter weekend AND General Conference (Worldwide meeting for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). So we tried to make it special.
Saturday we woke up and got the house picked up, and then built a tent. We called it our reverence tent for watching conference. In the Book of Mormon King Benjamin gets on a tower to speak to his people. The people came from all over to listen to him talk. They put up their tents and left one flap open for listening to the prophet. Sunday morning I told the Princess' this story as we got back into our tents. Eventually we had to end up with two tents, since it got a little crowded in the one.
While the girls waited for conference to start I made some treats and got some coloring pages printed out for them. Between the saturday morning and afternoon sessions we went to an Easter Egg Hunt put on by the Young Women of our ward. The girls had a blast running around with other kids and just getting some energy out.
Sunday morning the girls woke up to Easter baskets on the table and a new Easter Dress and Hat. They Loved it!
Then between sessions on Sunday we went to the baby's room to find that the Easter Bunny had dropped by and hidden eggs all over the place. What a blast, the girls loved it. After finding the eggs, we headed outside while it was still Sunny and got some Easter Family pictures. It was rough, but here's the best one.

Snow Day
We woke up yesterday morning to a covering of snow! Where in the world did spring go?
Isn't it beautiful?
Once we got the driveway shoveled, we took off to the grocery store. I decided it would be a great time to teach Princess V more about numbers. We got a lot of fruit, so I had her weigh them at the store and tell me how much they weighed. We didn't go into pounds, but she was able to point out the numbers to me. It was lots of fun.
At home we still tried working on colors with Princess C. She still hasn't picked up on it, but we're not giving up yet.
I had just finished making dinner and called everyone in. Princess V wasn't coming. So I went looking. The girls had been watching a Baby Einstein, but she wasn't in her chair anymore. I checked her bedroom, my room, the baby's room, the bathroom. I was just about to start going through the closets, when I finally saw her. Wrapped in a towel on the floor by her chair, sound asleep. What a relief.

New beds
Yesterday we spent the day putting the Princess' new bunk bed together. Daddy was home most of the day, except for an interview, so we had lots of help. It seems to have worked perfectly. Princess V can get up and down the ladder all by herself, and Princess C has plenty of room to roll around now. Getting them to sleep on the other hand was another matter. Princes V kept leaning over the railing wanting to talk to Princess C and Princess C kept getting out of bed to play and turn the light on. Finally Daddy laid down next to Princess C and I laid on the couch in their room. Not entirely sure who fell asleep first, but when I woke up everyone else was asleep too. I only checked on them once during the night and they were both sound asleep.
Yesterday afternoon we had another Dr's appointment. I have dilated to a 2 and Princess R's head is down there. Dr leaves for vacation saturday, so we're hoping she decides to come today or tomorrow. We also discussed what may have been my gall bladder the previous day. He did some feeling around and thinks it may just be an upset stomach and acid. So he gave me this drink that numbs the stomach, if the pain goes away, then it was my stomach, if it doesn't then it's something else. So when the pain came back yesterday I took the drink. I didn't notice if the pain left or not, but it sure did numb my throat! I just won't worry about it until after this baby girl shows.
